Stitchin' and Mistin'

Hi folks! Amanda here bringing you a little technique to add interest to your backgrounds. I've shown my technique on a card here, but it works just as well on your scrapbook layouts.

To create my misted and stitched background first of all I punched 3 circles from a scrp of cardstock, and layed them over my card blank randomly on the top half of the card.

I then misted lightly over the top, to create the circle shapes.

Next I used a paper piercing tool to pierce holes around the edges of the circles.

And using embroidery thread in a coordinating colour I stitched around my circles using a back stitch.

Once all your circles have been stitched, embellish your card!

I love my ink sprays and am always looking for new ways to use them in my crafting. I'd love to see what you've created with yours! Link up your projects in the comments so I can come and be nosey :)

Have a wonderful weekend!
