MASKING WITH TEXTURE PASTE

Hi and Welcome to ScrapwithV.I wanted to share a technique with you all today. It's MASKING with TEXTURE PASTE.For those that know my scrapping style ,know that I love lumpy bumpy pages so
when I discovered this product I thought surely I could use this on my layouts and indeed I do.
Once you have chosen a mask and have roughly planned your layout in your head, lay your mask onto your card and lightly spread a thin coat of texture paste on carefully holding your mask in place as you don't want it to move or it will spoil your finished look..Don't worry you can always hide mistakes later so don't panic if it does slide a little.Spread it just like you would icing a cake but very thinly just covering the mask.

Once you have covered the whole thing leave it for a second and then carefully lift your mask off the page.Leave to dry it won't take long I usually walk away and come back in 10--15 minutes and it is dry
Now you will need to go wash the mask under water STRAIGHT AWAY as you don't want the paste drying into it and spoiling your mask..It will just wash off,you can rub it with your fingers if it is sticking a bit.
I have also used lacy die cuts for this ,it is a little more difficult and of course they spoil afterward,so consider this when you are trying different things to use,you can also cut your own masks.ON this one I used Tattered angels glimmer screens

Once dry you can either sponge ink on or paint with a brush .I have used 3 different inks and just sponged
Next complete your layout.I've also added a layout I did a little while ago,so you can see the technique
.Thanks for stopping by,we love visitors and please,if you create a layout using this technique we'd all love to see it ,so could you pop the link to it in the comments section.
