Hey everyone! It’s Amanda here bringing you ideas for freshening up some of those metal embellishments we all have hoarded away!
I have a whole drawer full of metal. I have everything from brads, to charms, to greetings and a lot more. I rarely think to use them as I generally create by colour. As I never really use gold or silver cardstock, I never think about adding something metallic other than glitter to my work! So, I decided to sort through my metal embellishments and pick out a few to re-colour. All of these started out silver, and I coloured some to show you the effect. You will have to forgive the photos – it’s harder than I thought to get photos of metallic embellishments!
It’s super simple to do if you have any kind of permanent pen. I used copics, but you could use Promarkers or Sharpies just as easily. Just grab your metal, a pen, and start colouring!
I used the heart embellishment and a few flowers to make this simple valentine’s card. Metal packs quite a punch so I kept the focus on that.
I’d love to see your creations if you give this a try :)
Have a great day!
