My Minds eye - Lost and Found

I have always loved My Minds eye papers - the quality is beautiful and they consistently produce stunning ranges and the Lost and found ranges would be amongst my favourites...you can see them here in the SHOP
For this layout I have used the Market street range - LOVE them!!!
I wanted to share a couple of easy techniques that you can use on any layout.....

Technique 1 - Glimmer mist ...everyone loves it and one of the ways I like to use is - not to use the spray effect....but to uunscrew the nozzle top and splatter the glimmermist using the hose end....it gives a bigger spread of the drops and I love the effect. In addition I have then used a second colour and sprayed some small bursts to add colour.

Technique 2 - Layer your stamps. There are so many fabulous stamps out there now and gorgeous text stamps and music print stamps are perfect for this effect. If you look in the corners - I have used a music script stamp in black and then over the top I have used a second stamp in a similar colour to the birdcages.
This gives a lovely dimension and adds new interest to the stamped corners.

Technique 3 - Cluster your embellishments - the tighter they sit together with no gaps - the better they look. This may mean that you need to overlap some pieces or find smaller buttons or chipboard to fill in the space...the effect is more appealing to the eye than spaces in your cluster.

Technique 4 - Layer rour ribbons and lace. There are so many stunning ribbons and laces on the market!! I am a complete nut for them so I like to layer the lace and ribbon to give a layout a lovely old world feeling.

I hope you enjoy these techniques and can use them on some of your layouts!!! Dont forget to upload them in the gallery for us all to see!!!
